My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lacey is a 6-year-old lovebug who is always seeking affection. She starts drooling the moment you pet her and is absolutely wonderful with kids. She’s generally quiet, but if she feels a little too ignored, she’ll make sure you know she’s ready for attention. A sweet, expressive girl who just wants to be loved.

She was adopted from the San Jose animal shelter in August 2019 as part of the Clear the Shelter event. She had been found with a sibling at a job site of some kind and brought in.

This loving kitty is full of personality and affection! She prefers a large, very clean litter box, requires a tall scratching post, and will absolutely vault any barrier between her and your bed—because cuddles are non-negotiable. She enjoys cozy hideouts like closets and under the bed, but when she’s out, she wants all the love.

She is wonderful with kids of all ages and has shown incredible patience—she’s tolerated pulled fur without any aggression at all. She would thrive in a home with another furry companion, as she adores dogs and happily curls up with our pittie pup. She has also lived with another cat and a dog; with proper introductions, she transitions smoothly into a multi-pet household.

If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate, and family-friendly cat who loves companionship and cuddles, she could be the perfect addition to your home.

She has no known medical conditions and is generally well behaved, but she is very particular about her litter box—if it isn’t immaculate, she may choose the floor instead. She might look a little remorseful afterward, but cleanliness is non-negotiable for this girl! With regular scooping and a clean setup, she does just fine.

Lacey is currently living in San Jose, CA 95117
