Meet Sophie – Your Cozy, Sweet-as-Can-Be Best Friend
Sophie is the definition of a gentle, loving companion who came into rescue when her owner could no longer care for her. This precious girl lives for the simple joys in life: cuddling up under warm blankets, squeaky toys, leisurely daily walks, soothing ear scratches, and of course… treats! Most days she’s calm and content, but don’t be fooled — after snack time she’s known to show off her silly side with adorable roll-overs and requests for belly rubs.
Sophie thrives on routine and truly shines in a predictable environment. She’s fully house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained, and she’s so comfortable with her routine that she happily puts herself to bed when it’s time. She knows exactly when it’s walk time versus potty time — she’s a smart little lady who loves knowing what comes next. While Sophie prefers a quieter home where she can feel safe and relaxed, she warms up quickly to new people once she knows she can trust them.
A home with a yard (no fence required) would be ideal so she can enjoy fresh air and gentle outdoor time at her own pace. Sophie would do best as the only pet, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. This sweet girl is very food-motivated and happily finishes her meal with a little sprinkle of pupperoni for extra flair. She has no major medical concerns that were identified — just a simple medicated bath every 1–2 weeks to keep her skin healthy, which she handles like a champ. Sophie is looking for a calm, understanding home that appreciates routines, respects her boundaries, and adores her gentle nature. In return, she’ll offer unwavering loyalty, endless cuddles, and the kind of quiet companionship that makes a house truly feel like home. If you’re searching for a loving, well-mannered little soul to share cozy days and peaceful walks with, Sophie may be your perfect match.
Sofie's adoption donation is $400 and she is being fostered in the Central Ohio area. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. She has also had a dental cleaning.
