This is a very hard decision for me to make, but I am looking for a new home or rescue placement for my dog where he can truly thrive.
He is a good boy at heart and has many positive qualities. However, despite my best efforts and working with multiple trainers, his behavior has not improved consistently. Over time, the stress of managing his ongoing issues has become overwhelming for me.
He has recently begun resource guarding toys unpredictably, and when he becomes excited, he will jump with full force into people. While I have tried training and structure, his disobedience and frequent regression have made it clear that I do not have the patience or skill set he needs. This has caused me a great deal of stress and has unfortunately led to feelings of resentment, which isn’t fair to him or to me.
I can provide his crate, a large bag of his current food, and a leash to help with the transition.
