My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Sadie and I'm at the Santa Barbara Campus. I am an 8 year old, spayed, female mixed breed.

I may look large and in charge but don't let my looks fool you. I love snacks, attention, and a great place to lay down (in that order). My human had to make the hard decision to surrender me after some major life upsets, but shared that I am crate trained, potty trained, and know a few basic cues. I've lived around dogs in the past and can be a rough player when I get excited, but I know when it's time to chill out and relax. If you're looking for a sweet older girl to walk with, come check me out!

Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed.

Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.

Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission.

Hope to see you soon!
