Sandie is a sweet, soft, and fluffy girl who is already showing wonderful progress in just a few short days. While she was a bit shy at first and spent some time tucked under the kitchen table, she’s becoming braver every day as she settles in and learns she’s safe.
She’s been doing an amazing job with potty training and is clearly a fast learner. Sandie is a little nervous at times, but she’s very friendly and incredibly snuggly — she’s happy to be picked up and cuddled and seems to truly enjoy being close to her people.
Sandie has a feisty-but-sweet personality and has handled our older dog’s enthusiastic (and sometimes unsolicited!) affection and play remarkably well. She’s starting to come out of her shell and is becoming more playful with her canine companions. She absolutely loves toys and can’t get enough of them, and she’s very easy to redirect if she starts chewing on something she shouldn’t.
She’s been doing well in her kennel during the workday, even if it’s not her favorite place yet. Feeding time, on the other hand, is a definite highlight of her day! Sandie is also learning all about snow and delights everyone by hopping through it like a little bunny.
With her beautiful, mask-like face, impossibly soft fur, and the sweetest, most gentle kisses, Sandie is truly special. She’s looking for a loving home that will continue to help her build confidence, encourage her playful side, and shower her with the love she’s ready to give.

*Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
