My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ernie 🐾❄️

Ernie is a 70-pound pit bull mix who’s only 7 months old and already full of love, personality, and puppy joy. He’s a big baby at heart who adores affection and thrives on companionship.

This sweet boy is dog, kid, and cat friendly, making him a wonderful fit for many types of homes. Ernie especially loves being outside, and he’s recently discovered that snow is a pretty great friend too! Whether he’s playing, exploring, or soaking up attention, Ernie’s playful spirit shines through.

Because of his past, Ernie is still working on crate and house training, but he’s improving every day and really starting to get the hang of it with consistency and patience. He’s eager to learn and wants nothing more than to please his people.

Ernie has a slightly goofy walk due to an old injury, but it doesn’t slow him down or affect his quality of life one bit—he still loves to play, explore, and enjoy every moment like the happy puppy he is.

If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, affectionate big puppy who loves love and is ready to grow alongside his forever family, Ernie might just be your perfect match. 💙

More about this rescue

We help animals who are in need by placing them in a loving foster home, providing medical care, and finding the perfect home for that animal to live in for the rest of its life. Tails of Hope takes mainly dogs, but has occasionally helped other animals in need. We take animals in through shelters and other rescue organizations, as strays, or as owner surrenders from people in our local communities.
