Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Johan — a handsome gray kitten with a thoughtful nature and a playful spark.
Johan is a young short-haired boy who came into rescue after living outside, so he took some time to learn that humans can be trusted. Because of his background, he will need time and space to settle into a new home. Johan prefers minimal handling and likes to interact on his own terms, but when he feels safe, he will purr and allow gentle petting — a special reward for earning his trust.
He has a medium energy level and enjoys playtime with wand toys and toy mice. You’ll often find him perched on top of the cat house, watching the world go by from his favorite high spot. Johan is fully litter trained and does great with other cats. In fact, he must go to a home with another friendly cat, which will help him feel secure and confident.
Johan has not met dogs while in rescue, but would likely do fine with a calm, respectful dog given proper introductions. He would do best in a quieter home with older, cat-savvy kids who understand how to give him space as he adjusts.
With patience, consistency, and feline companionship, Johan will continue to blossom into a wonderful companion.
Johan is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for his age.

Twin Cities Pet Rescue has been helping animals in need since 2009. TCPR’s vision is a humane country in which animals are treated with compassion and respect. They have a large network of foster homes that help them save pets that mainly come from impound and shelters with high kill rates. Their teams and board are comprised of volunteers dedicating their free time, energy and compassion to these animals.
Step 1. Visit me today! A meet-and-greet is required to start the adoption journey. Use this special space to connect and ensure you’re bringing home the right cat for your family. Repeat visits are always encouraged to build a stronger connection! Save your email confirmation or take a picture of your ticket to show when you visited the Cafe.
Step 2. Visit https://thecafemeow.com/newhope/cats/, find the cat you are interested in adopting and click “Apply for Adoption” on the cat’s bio page. After you have submitted your application, you should receive a confirmation email.
Step 3. Wait for a response. Please allow 72 hours for a response.
If you need further assistance please stop by again and chat with The Cafe Meow team. We are happy to help with any questions. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Please know that cats listed as available might have applications being processed. Sometimes cats are really pawpular and receive multiple applications at once, and it can take a couple days to review them all. We do our best to keep the website up to date on which cats are adopted!

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
