My neighbor and I have started trapping/fixing cats in our complex. Sydney was our first to get fixed at Abadie Vet I have wanted to get another cat and Sydney was very friendly and seemed to have exposure to people. He would walk into my apartment every time I opened the door. On Saturday, December 13, I took him to Healthy Paws to get fecal test and tested for Feline leukemia and HIV. Also got him microchipped and his nails trimmed. He did great with all of the testing and came back negative for everything but the worms. He had his first worm medicine and flea meds and I was given second worm topical med and purchased 3 additional months of flea meds. I have receipts showing everything that has been done for Sydney.
Unfortunately, I cannot keep him. He is very affectionate and is very much a lap cat. But he also weighs 12 lbs. and is very strong. For the past 2 days, he has repeatedly landed on my neck and upper back and my shoulders are very sore. I am 67 with COPD
