Rouge is a gentle, bashful boy who’s still learning that people can be kind and life can be really good. He’ll need patience and encouragement to help him build confidence and become more socialized, but trust us—he will be so worth the extra effort. When he warms up, his sweetness shines through, and that smile will melt your heart every time.

Our office is open Monday- Friday 8:30-4:30 and Saturdays from 10:00-2:00. Our kennels are closed on Mondays. The kennels are open Tuesday- Friday 11:00-4:15, Saturdays we open 10:00-1:45.

Did you know... The Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Adoption Center is self-funded and does not receive any tax paying dollars. Our revenue comes from dog license fees, adoptions, impound fees, and YOUR donations. You can send Donations by check or money order to the shelter: 810 N. Home Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
The shelter always accepts cash donations. However, there are always other things we need too. You can call it a wish list: Bleach, laundry detergent, Capstar flea tablets, Advantage flea drops, pet shampoo,Paper Towels, and sturdy collars and leashes for our dogs here at the facility and those going on transport to rescue.
