My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Henry Mittens, the jolliest little ginger of my holiday litter! I’m an orange tabby who loves to explore, play, and then absolutely crash in a puddle of purrs. And with my (adorable!) extra toe beans, I always look like I’m ready to brave the cold MN winter with my cute, oversized mittens. I’ve been living with 3 resident cats who are all around 10 years old, and I love to test the limits with how close they’ll let me get! My curiosity and gentle nature quickly won the big cats over, I just kept making my friendly and outgoing presence VERY known. I’ve also shown to be a gentle, curious guy around small children, and although I haven’t spent time with any dogs yet, I have no doubt I’d get along with any companion; humans, other cats, or canines! If you’re looking to ring in the new year filled with love, laughs, and extra toes, I’m your guy.

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Henry Mittens will need to be adopted with one of their siblings (Canelita, Luna Lunera and Captain Hookie).

The adoption fee for a kitten is $250. For a pair, the adoption fee is $500.

Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
