My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good with kids: Yes
Crate trained: Unknown
House Trained: Unknown

This gorgeous girl is ready to brighten someone’s world! Sue and her brothers had a rough start, but she has bounced back and is blossoming into the sweetest little ray of sunshine. She has a medium energy level and her ideal home would be with a patient family ready to give her the home she deserves.

Sue gets along well with other dogs and plays appropriately. She has not met a cat yet, but would most likely be fine with them. She has spent time with older kids and did well with them.

Sue has been in an outdoor shelter, so she will need to learn all the puppy basics such as house, crate and leash training. She is eager to learn, and even more eager to snuggle. With her playful spirit and cheerful personality, she’ll make every day feel a little lighter.

If you’re looking for a loving young pup who has overcome the odds and is ready for her forever family, Sue Ashcraft is your girl!

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
