My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes
Good with kids: Unknown, likely yes
Crate trained: Yes
House Trained: Working on it

Krieger is a happy, confident, fun-loving pup ready to steal your heart! This friendly boy loves to wrestle and play with toys but is also happy to snuggle on the couch in your lap. Krieger is a medium-energy pup who loves playtime but also enjoys his naps. He'd be a perfect fit for a family ready for all things puppy and excited to shower him with love.

Krieger gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has really nice manners with his canine companions. He's confident but submissive when given cues from other dogs and takes correction well. He'd likely do well with or without another pup in the home. With his friendly disposition, he would likely be fine with a cat or kid sibling as well. Krieger loves playing with his doggy friends, chewing on antlers and Benebones, and entertaining himself with toys. He's also a champion cuddler who loves to sit in laps!

Krieger is an exceptionally smart boy who listens incredibly well to commands. He is fully crate trained and is crated during the day and overnight without any issues. As a typical pup, Krieger is working on mastering potty training and will continue to improve with a regular schedule and routine. Krieger has exceptional leash skills for a puppy and wants to stay with his person on walks.

This well-rounded, happy pup will make a great dog for the lucky family who welcomes him home. Could Krieger be the one for you?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
