My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweetie is just that....sweet! A happier cat never existed! Sweetie loves to play and explore, and she’s always on the move, eager to discover the world around her. When she’s feeling cozy and content, she’ll surprise you with her cute little coo noises, a sound that’s as endearing as it is unique.

Sweetie is currently residing in a volunteer foster home through Animal Advocates.  Her foster reports Sweetie's favorite pastime is chasing and playing with the other young resident feline in the home. Her second favorite pastime is purring and cuddles with her people.  She has not been observed around dogs or young children.  We imagine Sweetie would adapt to most home environments and do best with a feline buddy.  Adopt one kitten  (or better yet, a pair!) and prepare to be charmed by their whiskered whimsy.  A discounted adoption fee is offered when adopting a pair of kittens / cats from the rescue.

Sweetie has a beautiful diluted calico color with big green eyes. Her front leg has an abnormality - but it does not hold her back at all, impact her movement or health - and has been thoroughly checked by a veterinarian, who determined it is either a healed injury or congenital leg abnormality.  Her birthday is estimated in February 2025.  She has tested negative for Felv/FIV, up-to-date on FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, treated for fleas/dewormed as well as spayed and microchipped.

If you are interested in meeting a cat, the first step is to complete an online application located at animaladvocates.net (under the "Adopt" menu). Thank you for considering a rescue cat from Animal Advocates!

Additional adoption info

Adoption Guidelines:
- Before scheduling a meet-and-greet with one of our adoptable cats or dogs, you must complete an application and interview with an adoption team member.
- You must be 21 years or older.
- All animals in your home must be up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed / neutered.
- If you rent, we will need a copy of your lease stating the landlord permits pets along with the landlord’s contact information.
- We do not place animals as gifts for others.
- Adopted animals must be kept as indoor companions.
- We reserve the right to perform a home visit.

We aim to provide high quality care for the well-being of rescued cats and dogs until they are placed in forever homes. All animals are regularly vet checked, fully vaccinated, spayed / neutered and microchipped. They are routinely treated for fleas and worms as well as any medical issues.

Except for a limited number of cats fostered at our headquarters, our adoptable animals are cared for in loving volunteer foster homes. We get to know the pets’ personalities and needs very well, striving to make the best possible match for both animals and adopters.
