Some dogs come into our program with instant notoriety and rise to a celebrity status quickly. Sarah is definitely one of them. As a popular pup at Saving Grace, Sarah would love to give back to her community by helping other Saving Grace dogs with major medical needs, our senior dogs, nursing moms, and those who need life-saving heartworm treatments. Through her adoption, Sarah will ask her new family to assist them by making a donation of $300 (tax-deductible) in addition to the adoption fee ($395) to help her friends in need.
This sweet girl is everything you could want in a dog all wrapped up in just 10 little pounds. Sarah is a great cuddle bug, but also sleeps quiet in her crate all night. She seems to be totally house trained and will will go to the door and give a little yip to go outside! Sarah loves to go for walks and does great on a leash. She would love a back yard to explore, but doesn’t need one as long as she gets regular walks. Sarah loves meeting new people and dogs and seems right at home in new environments, though she does get a bit spooked at loud noises. Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.
We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption.
