Cosette is a mature lady (approximately 8–10 years old) who embodies everything wonderful about a truly loved housecat. After spending time in foster care recovering from an infected anal gland and some irritation to her bottom, she’s feeling so much better—and her sweet personality has been shining brighter every day.
Cosette adores being brushed. Regular grooming has become a bonding ritual she truly enjoys. While her coat still has that classic “older kitty” texture—sometimes a little separated or tousled—it now feels clean, soft, and comfortable instead of oily, and she clearly feels better in her own skin.
This girl is all about companionship. Cosette loves company and wants to be near her people as much as possible—sitting close by, hopping into laps once she’s settled, and quietly keeping you company throughout the day. She very clearly was someone’s cherished cat in the past and is used to living life right at your side.
At night, Cosette insists on sleeping with you—and she’s an absolute dream about it. She chooses her spot on the bed, stays there peacefully, and won’t disturb your sleep. She comes and goes for litter breaks (now confidently navigating two flights of stairs for some bonus exercise!) and settles back in just as gently.
Cosette looks for her person, calls out to check where you are, and will announce herself with the cutest little meow, waiting for a reply before trotting over to be close to you. While you work, she’ll visit your home office, standing on her hind legs to reach for attention, or stretching her paws out mid-pet to politely—but persistently—ask for more love.
She is incredibly personable, affectionate, and emotionally connected—a cat who forms deep bonds and simply wants to be loved in return.
