Angel est un magnifique chat mâle d’environ 4 ans, au tempérament timide et sensible. Doux et attachant à sa façon, il est très vocal, ce qui fait partie intégrante de sa personnalité, tout en étant calme la nuit et respectueux du rythme de la maison.
Angel a été secouru dans un refuge à Dubaï. Pour des raisons hors de leur volonté, sa famille actuelle n’est malheureusement plus en mesure de le garder, malgré tout l’amour et les soins qui lui ont été offerts.
De race Arabian Mau, Angel n’a pas de sous-poil et doit donc vivre dans un environnement bien chauffé. Il apprécie une routine stable et se sent rassuré dans un cadre prévisible.
Angel est actuellement en surpoids et suit une diète contrôlée, qu’il sera très important de maintenir dans sa future famille afin de poursuivre sa perte de poids de façon saine. Il aime beaucoup sa nourriture et répond bien à une routine alimentaire encadrée.
Il n’a jamais vécu avec un autre chat, mais une cohabitation est possible avec un congénère calme, à condition de prévoir une introduction très graduelle, lente et respectueuse de son rythme.
Angel aura besoin d’une longue période d’adaptation (environ 2 à 3 semaines), idéalement dans une pièce fermée et calme, avec beaucoup de cachettes, une routine stable et énormément de patience et de douceur. De nature nerveuse et réservée, il a besoin de temps pour se sentir en sécurité, mais avec un environnement sécurisant, il peut progressivement s’apaiser et s’ouvrir.
Angel recherche une famille calme, patiente et compréhensive, prête à respecter son rythme et à bâtir une relation basée sur la confiance. Pour la bonne personne, il deviendra un compagnon profondément touchant et unique !

Most of the animals available for adoption are at our shelter, on Jean-Talon Street in Montréal. Please come meet them during our opening hours. Note the wait time can be several hours on Saturdays and Sundays so, if you can, come by on a weekday instead!

Founded in Montreal in 1869, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (now known simply as the Montreal SPCA) was the first animal-welfare organization in Canada. It is not known under whose influence the society was formed, but its history acknowledges assistance from animal-welfare societies in France, England and the United States. In its early years, the SPCA concentrated primarily on improving the treatment of work horses, which were used all across the island of Montreal. The SPCA later began working on additional issues, such as humane dog control, cock-fighting and the killing of wild birds.
