Meet this adorable pup named RJ! RJ and her sister, Mooshy, came into the shelter on December 15, 2025 when their owner had too many animals and could no longer care for them. At just 1 year and 1 month old, RJ is still very much a puppy and learning the ropes of shelter life though she's a little shy.
With all the new smells, barking dogs, and unfamiliar faces, the shelter can be a bit intimidating for a young pup. Thanks to the patience, love, and encouragement from our staff and volunteers, RJ is making great progress and soaking up all the kindness being shared with her.
RJ is a bit more shy of the two, but once RJ sees Mooshy heading out for a walk, she happily follows along. Watching them run and chase each other in the play yard is pure joy! RJ weighs around 45 pounds—just the perfect size for someone looking for companionship and a lifetime of love.
Because she’s still young, RJ will thrive in a loving home that can help guide her, teach her the basics, and give her plenty of time to adjust to her new people, home, and routine. With patience and love, she’s sure to blossom into an amazing lifelong companion.
Stop by for a visit with RJ, give her time to sniff and get acquainted —you might just find your new best friend!

We are a non-profit orginization relying on donations. We do have a contract witht the county to provide shelter for strays brought in. We have limited space but try to get our animals back to thier families and if that can not be accomplished we work hard on finding them new homes.
We do what we do because we love animals. We are realistic in in efforts, understand the problem and work towards educating the public on what needs to be done to prevent over population.
