Hi, my name is Lorelei. I'm a loving and loyal Weimaraner with a heart as big as my curious nose! I am a gentle, affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to be near people. I greet everyone with friendly enthusiasm and settle easily once I've had a chance to say hello. My calm, cooperative nature makes me an absolute joy to have in the home. I love long walks and can comfortably stroll two or more miles with my naturally brisk pace. After adventures, I'm more than happy to curl up for a good nap. I have a short, sleek coat and the most adorable big velvety ears you'll ever meet. Around the house, I am quiet, housebroken, and easygoing. I sleep through the night on my own bed in a separate room and will happily hop into the car, where I settle in right away. I adore gentle affection and will sit sweetly at your feet, gazing up at you and waiting for pets. I know "sit", "down", and "touch", and I'm currently working on building confidence when left alone. I am not destructive, but I can get a little worried when my people leave. I am also practicing crate training, though I'm not the biggest fan of the crate just yet. I am the perfect mix of active and mellow, affectionate and polite. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will walk by your side and relax by your feet, I might be the perfect match for you.

More about this shelter
Established in 1949, the Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. is a private, non-profit, full-access animal shelter dedicated to providing a safe refuge for animals in our community. Our mission to care for all animals is made possible by friends like you. Every day our dedicated staff ensures that every animal receives food, veterinary care and the attention they need until they can find a forever home. The Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA is a private, 501c3 nonprofit organization and is supported by contributions, grants, bequests, proceeds from pet adoptions, pet licensing and fees for services.
With highly recognized investigative officers, IVHS answers the call of over 100 animals in need every day. With our community outreach programs we educate the public on local wildlife, proper pet care and how to be a responsible pet owner. Equally important is IVHS’s commitment to provide a mobile vaccination clinic, low-cost and no-cost spay and neuter programs for our communities.
