My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Ebony, a gentle girl with a quiet presence. I am very sweet and I enjoy short, gentle petting sessions. I`m also kind of shy. I am making great progress in my foster home, learning how kind people can be.

I want to find people who are patient and understanding. I will need time and space to come out of my shell at my own pace. At first, I might tuck myself mostly away while I engage in small moments of connection.

I should mention that I`m highly food-motivated, and treats (YUMM!) are a great way to help me learn to trust and feel more secure. While I’m not quite ready to lounge in windows or seek out attention, I appreciate calm companionship and gentle routines.

I will do best in a quiet home. At the same time, I’m very tolerant of other animals and have done well around both cats and dogs! I am fine sharing my space, especially with calm, respectful companions, animal and human.

If you’re someone who believes the most meaningful bonds take time, I could be a very special companion for you. I will repay your kindness with years of loyalty and love.
