My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Garth is a truly special soul. This sweet senior gentleman came to us from a less-than-ideal situation, but even after everything he’s been through, he has nothing but kindness in his heart. At around 16 years old, Garth is the definition of a mellow, easygoing companion who just wants a soft place to rest and a person to love him.

He moves at a slow, steady pace and appreciates all the simple comforts—warm blankets, quiet company, and gentle pets. Garth’s golden spirit shines brightest when he knows he’s safe, and he seems to understand he’s finally getting the care he’s always deserved.

Garth is looking for a loving home to enjoy his golden years, one where he can feel secure, cherished, and comfortable. If you have room in your heart for a senior who will touch your life in the most meaningful way, Garth is waiting to give and receive all the love he can.

Let’s make his final chapter his best one yet

Adoption Fees & Process
See current fees at www.yakimahumane.org
The adoption fees help offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals that need our help. We do our best to keep adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. Adoption fees help provide medical care, food and shelter to the animals in our care.
