My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Honey, a one-year-old bundle of love who weighs in at a perfect 45 lbs! 🍯 With her soulful eyes and gentle heart, this darling girl is everything her name suggests—sweet, warm, and comforting. Honey looks like a Boxer/Pitbull mix to us, but that’s just our best guess based on her adorable features. Whatever her lineage, one thing is certain: she’s 100% a sweetheart!

Honey thrives in the company of those who make her feel safe and loved, whether they’re humans or fellow pups. She has a soft, trusting nature and blossoms when surrounded by kindness. While she may take a moment to warm up, once she knows you're in her circle, she’s loyal, affectionate, and oh-so-cuddly. She’s a great friend to other dogs, especially gentle, respectful ones who help her feel secure and confident. 🐾

At just a year old, Honey is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines—ready to start her next chapter with someone who will adore her for the gem she is. Her sweet spirit and quiet resilience make her an incredibly special companion. If you’re looking for a tender-hearted girl to love, Honey is ready to melt your heart. 💕

More about this rescue

The vision of Animal Compassion Team has been years in the making, shaped by hard work, heartbreak, and an unwavering love for animals. Despite the challenges, we chose this path because saving lives matters—it's that simple. Every dog, cat, and animal we rescue reaffirms our commitment to making a difference. In August 2009, we took a leap of faith and became a 501(c)3 non-profit, ready to turn hope into action. Each life saved makes every effort worthwhile, and we look forward to sharing countless happy endings.

Our Mission Statement
To provide a safe haven for animals of all breeds and species through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for humane treatment, promote the human-animal bond, and educate about kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership, emphasizing spaying and neutering. Together with other rescues and shelters, we strive toward a no-kill nation.
