Meow! My name is Cleo. I am a sweet, pretty cat that finds herself in a “touchy” situation! I had an owner, but she had to leave town for a while, so she asked a friend to watch me while she was gone. Well as it turns out, she returned and then told the nice lady that was taking care of me, that she didn’t want me any more. Well, the nice lady caring for me kept me for a good while longer, but then her health started deteriorating and she had to bring me to the shelter. The shelter made sure I had all of my vaccinations, that I had a microchip, and that I was spayed. Now there is one thing you probably need to know about me. I really don’t like other cats. Yep! That’s right! Not a big fan of other cats. So please make me your one and only!!

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
