My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear (A132238) is a 2-year-old GSD x Chow Chow mix who weighed 44.3 pounds on intake!

12/15/25 This shy but friendly guy is Bear! Bear was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own, but because his owner was moving out of stated and unable to bring him with. Bear was said to be kennel-trained, housebroken, and rides well in a car! Bear was known to love to lounge on the couch but was used to being kenneled when left alone. Bear was said to do well with people of all ages including babies and children. However, he might bark if he hasn’t met you yet. He was stated to do well with cats but has not had much experience with other dogs. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new animals to help set him up for success! Bear was known to be a bit of an opportunist and will get into the trash if left unsupervised. He was also known to be a talker and can even open doors. He is quite the character and would love to find his new people to love! If you are interested in meeting Bear, please let us know!

09/05/23 These four pups are eager to find their new places to call home! We do not know what all they are mixed with but believe the primary breeds are German Shepherd and Chow. If you are unfamiliar with those two breeds, we strongly encourage you to do the research prior to adopting. These pups can be a bit shy at first but once they have met you they become sweethearts and are very affectionate! They were said to have been working on crate and potty training in their prior home. They have also been working on a few basic commands but would still highly benefit from attending a basic obedience class to continue working on their manners and socialization! They were said to be curious of dogs and to do okay with cats in the past. Please ensure you are doing appropriate introductions with all new friends! If you are interested in meeting once of these pups and possibly making them a part of your family, please let us know!December 15, 2025, 5:34 pm
