If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Leo is 7 years old. He was 1 of 2 in a litter. We initially adopted his brother from an acquaintance. Around 2 months old, the family that had Leo had a family emergency and asked us to watch him. 3 months later they returned and suggested we keep him since he bonded to us and our other dogs - including his litter brother. As they both aged, play-fighting got more and more aggressive. They are both neutered but no help. My wife spends a lot of time traveling for work and often takes the brother. When without the other, these dogs are great with other dogs. And always good with people. They both had formal training but that does not seem to help when they get worked up. At this point, I think Leo would be better off with the anxiety he feels around his brother. I am not in a rush to rehome him. Especially if it means finding Leo the best new family.
