Location: New Jersey - meet and greet in South Jersey is required
Squirrel
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
About 40 lbs- needs help continuing his weight loss routine!
Good with dogs?: Yes, 40lbs and under
Good with cats?: Unsure, but he does have a prey drive.
Good with kids?: Dog savvy kids welcome!
Crate trained: Yes
House trained: Yes, will sometimes mark but working on it!
Leash trained: Yes
Meet SQUIRREL! Squirrel was surrendered by his owner through no fault of his own, he was being bullied by the resident Golden Retriever and the owner made the tough decision to rehome Squirrel. Due to his past, we would recommend that Squirrel either be the only dog, or be in the company of other small to medium sized pups. That being said slow introductions would also be a must as he can be shy/fearful due to his experience. Meet and greet with resident dogs is a must. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to have a second shadow, you’ll soon find out! In typical corgi fashion Squirrel lives for his people and wants to supervise basically everything. His ideal situation would be either a family (dog savvy kids welcome!) or couple that can give him short brisk walks to maintain his figure, and then give him copious amounts of cuddles on the couch - his favorite place. Most of all he would love a family who is patient and kind with him as he adjusts to your routine. Squirrel’s quirks are that he occasionally might do a little dribble in the house to mark his territory. He also can be a picky eater and it took a couple days for him to finish his meals at his foster home. Otherwise, he is a certified good boy with phenomenal manners. Squirrel is waiting patiently for his furever family.
