Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Smurfette is a gentle, sensitive little girl with a quiet, loving presence. She’s on the shy side and truly thrives in a calm, predictable home where she can feel safe and move at her own pace. Affection is always on her terms—she’s not a lap cat, and being picked up usually isn’t her favorite (unless she’s very sleepy, when she’ll allow a brief, cozy cuddle).
What Smurfette is, though, is wonderfully people-oriented in a subtle way. She loves being near her person, following them from room to room and keeping them company without demanding attention. She’ll greet you when you come home and happily share space, making her an ideal companion for someone who appreciates a quiet bond.
She has her own adorable quirks: bottle caps are a favorite toy, along with a fish-shaped wand, and she has a special fondness for hanging out and playing in the bathtub. Smurfette is curious about the world and interested in going outside someday. She’s an enthusiastic eater when it comes to her own food, and while she’ll politely sniff human food, she has no interest in stealing it.
Smurfette would be a perfect match for someone looking for a sweet, low-key companion who shows her love through presence rather than constant cuddles.
Smurfette is currently in foster care outside of the shelter. If you are interested in learning more or meeting her, please complete an adoption survey using the link below (copy and paste the link into your browser):
All cats are spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, provided with preventative care, and microchipped.
