My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

****The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org****

Stunning doesn't even begin to describe Ridley's fur coat and check out that tail! His mom and siblings were dumped in the country at a sanctuary for farm animals.  We imagine the ones who did it probably assumed they would just go unnoticed amongst the other animals on the property.  However, Retta, Ridley and Reeves were skinny, sick and covered in fleas so the family that cares for the sanctuary animals reached out for help and since they have helped up in placing farm animals, we were happy to help them with the mom and kittens. The siblings were born late April of 2025.  Ridley is a shy guy that is learning how to trust and relax around people.  He does love other cats and we think in a home setting where things are quiet and he could become comfortable he will very likely grow in to a calm yet sweet and oh so handsome guy!   He is neutered, microchipped, negative on FeLV/FIV and up-to-date on vaccinations. As always, cat/kitten adoptions are free will donation to approved applicants.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
