My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Stitch!

I’m a 3-year-old Jack Russell mix with a big heart and lots of personality packed into my small-but-mighty body. I’m a smart, curious guy who loves to stay busy and be involved in whatever my people are doing.

I enjoy walks, playtime, and anything that lets me use my brain. Learning new things is fun for me, especially when treats or praise are involved (I’m pretty good at that part). I do best when I have some structure and activities to keep me entertained.

I’m very loyal and love spending time with my humans. After I’ve had a chance to get my energy out, I’m happy to relax and enjoy some quality hangout time by your side.

If you’re looking for a fun, intelligent companion who will keep life interesting and full of love, I might just be your Stitch.

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
