If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
My dad found Miso behind our church on a cold rainy day in Nov. 2018. At that time, she had some strange fears: empty water bottles, aluminum foil. Her nails were long & she was hairless & skinny. It's been our theory that she was abandoned. I spent a month looking for her owners, but no one turned up. At this time I was prepping to go away to college & live in a dorm that didn't allow pets, so my dad was her caretaker until 2021 when I graduated. My dad did his best, but he had his own ailments & was busy with work so he couldn't take care of Miso all the way. I married a soldier that same year, & we have since brought Miso with us through multiple military moves. My husband & I have loved on her. I was so happy when her fur started growing again & she gained weight. But as time has gone on, she developed medical issues that we aren't able to afford. I recently became a mom, & we're about to move again. It sucks, but I have to admit I can't give Miso the life she deserves anymore.
