Meet Homer, a 7-year-old Terrier mix who is ready to learn what it truly means to be a "best friend." Homer came to us from a hoarding situation, and while his past was crowded, his future is wide open for the right person.
Initially, Homer was the sweetest and most gentle soul! However, as he’s settled in, he’s shown us that he carries some heavy baggage from his previous life. He has become a bit protective of his space and can be fearful of men, often reacting with a "tough guy" exterior to hide his uncertainty.
Homer is looking for a calm, predictable environment—ideally a female-led household or one with a very patient, low-key gentleman who understands that trust is earned, not given. And please, no small children. Once he feels safe, that sweet boy we first met shines through. He just needs a patient hero to tell him he never has to worry again.
If you would like to meet him, come to Rogue Valley Humane Society Monday through Saturday from 12-4pm! For more adoption information, visit our website here: https://roguevalleyhumanesociety.org/adoptions/All our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, heartworm or felv/fiv tested, vaccinated for core vaccinations, treated for internal/external parasites.
