My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

GDT was supposed to be trapped, neutered, and released but was too sweet and friendly. He strolls into any setting like he belongs there and no one questions him. No hissing, no growling, like he’s been a resident for months. This beautiful boy loves everyone, cat and human, and everyone loves or at least ignores him. The downside is that he is slippery and can squeeze through a door without leaving a ripple. GDT likes toys and your attention!
GDT is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. As always, cat/kitten adoptions are free will donation to approved applicants. ****The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org****

Additional adoption info

All interested parties must fill out an adoption application and be approved prior to adoption. If a family has currently, or in the recent past had pets then a veterinary reference is required. If not then two personal references are required. Our adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$300. Our adoption fee for cats is free will donation. After an adoption has been approved an adoption contract must be signed.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
