Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPTION PLEA — RICHIE RICH
Border Collie Puppy | Found in Richfield, Idaho
Currently in Bellevue, Idaho
Richie Rich is safe and thriving in a foster home, but what he truly needs now is a permanent family of his own.
About Richie Rich
Approximately 6 months old
Male, neutered
Vaccinated (including rabies) and microchipped
House-trained and crate-trained
Gentle, shy, and very sweet
Gets along well with other dogs
Good with cats and children
Richie is not a pushy or demanding puppy. He is smart, sensitive, and still learning that the world can be a safe place. He gains confidence through routine, reassurance, and kindness. Richie does well off leash, though when passing other dogs he may want to turn and follow them—he clearly takes comfort in canine companionship. Because of this, a home with other friendly dogs would be ideal for him.
With patience and consistency, Richie will blossom into a deeply loyal and devoted companion. A home familiar with herding breeds—or one willing to provide structure, positive guidance, and gentle leadership—would be a great match.
Richie’s story is one of true rescue. He is alive today because a volunteer stepped in at exactly the right moment. A rancher in Richfield reported a young puppy who was at risk of being shot. One of our volunteers intervened immediately and secured him before something irreversible happened.
Richie Rich has already beaten the odds. Now he just needs a family willing to give him the time, safety, and love he deserves.

We require a foster or adoption application to qualify to foster or adopt our animals. We do check your current veterinary reference and landlord approval if renting. The next step is a "meet and greet" with all family members and/or household occupants, and current pets. Upon approval, we offer a "trial adoption" period that allows adopter to make sure of a good fit for both the dog and family. Adoption is final when adoption contract (different from application) is filled out and signed, and adoption fee is paid. Our adoption fees range from $75 - $300 (puppies) currently, but are subject to revision if our veterinary costs rise. Due to recent website issues please submit application at www.friendsfureveranimalrescue.net if the .com link provided does not work
