From his foster: Happy, cuddling loving pup. He really is a good pup. He gets along people and resident dogs. Quiet in general except when someone is coming in the house. Playing with toys and the big black lab is his favorite activities. Enjoys the fenced in yard so he is free to run and play. REALLY good on a leash. Although, a little nervous of other people and dogs, he will sit focusing on you, ignoring them while they pass, if you have a treat for him. As a food motivated pup, I taught him to sit while being fed. BUT he's not food or toy aggressive. He shares with the others dogs and allows a human take something from his mouth. At night he sleeps in his crate although would prefer to be in the bed. He does complain about being in his kennel but eventually settles to sleep.
It would be great to have another dog friend in the new home but it is not required as long as it's family that plays with him to help get my silly energy out. There is a cat in the house but they have not met so we are uncertain about cat interactions. Commands like “sit”, “no” and “kennel” Magnum knows really well and is working on “down”, "off" and “heel”. He had a few accidents the first week in the house but is fine now. He is nervous, timid at first, about new people but eventually warms up.

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
