From her foster: Maddi is an approximately 9-month-old Whippet/Terrier mix with a gentle heart and a thoughtful approach to the world. She’s a shy puppy who is still learning that life can be safe and kind, and she’s making steady progress every day.
At home, Maddi is calm and loves long naps, especially when she can burrow under blankets. When she’s ready to play, she shows her whippet side with quick bursts of energy. She gets along well with other dogs and currently enjoys the company of her canine friend, Rexi, playing on her own terms.
Maddi is still working on housetraining and does well with potty pads. Leash skills are in progress, as sudden sounds and movements can be triggering for her.
Her ideal home is quiet and patient, with people committed to positive training. With time and consistency, Maddi has all the potential to truly shine.
