Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you're looking for a laid-back, affectionate companion, look no further than sweet Cecile! Despite her beautiful tortoiseshell coat, she has not a single ounce of the infamous "tortitude". Once she feels safe with you, this lovebug soaks up all the attention you can give. When she's being pet, brushed, lounging on your lap, and cuddling up beside you, you're treated to Cecile's motor-boat purrs and her adoring slow blinks ("I love you" in cat language). As soon as you sit beside her to offer her pets, she flops down right next to you and often rolls around in enjoyment, offering up her belly for tummy rubs. If you're a "cat can share the bed" kind of person, you've got a very polite nighttime snuggle partner in Cecile - she will happily snooze right beside you and, if invited, will even spend some time under the covers for a little extra-cozy cuddle. Though Cecile will happily spend her day lounging around and receiving affection, she's definitely not too old for some playtime - she especially loves to bat around her mouse toys and chase after a feather wand toy, though she is equally engaged just to stare at the feathers intently, waiting for their next move. A fierce hunter she is not - all her pounces are just as delicate and gentle as her rare "all done for now, thanks" signals. Easygoing and sweet, Cecile is a true delight to have around! Cecile's ideal household doesn't have any children present, as her previous household proved too stressful for her due to having little ones around. We're not sure how she feels about having other pets around, but a home without too much commotion would be a good fit for this docile senior. If you need to leave the house for work or focus your attention elsewhere, she's low-maintenance and can easily keep herself company, and then she'll very happily welcome you home for more time together. If you can offer her a chill, cozy spot to snuggle, Cecile's your gal!
