Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Are you looking for a Spicy Sauce to pair with your Sweet Apples? Meet Applesauce!
She is an independent, senior cat with a goofy, oversized personality. Applesauce’s resume would include words like self-sufficient, girl-boss, motivated, and go-getter. When Applesauce is in managerial mode, she likes to sweep the house and ensure that she is fully aware of all goings on and that all tasks she has assigned are being completed. She does not shy away from her curiosity, which makes her the best combination of sweet and spicy. In addition to her leadership duties, Applesauce is no stranger to relaxing. She has been known to seek out a spot on a soft chair or the back of the couch to catnap away the afternoon.
Applesauce enjoys human companionship, and she relishes head petting when it does not interfere with her other self-appointed activities. One of her favorite pastimes is waiting near the faucet in the kitchen, hoping someone will turn it on for her (see the video).
In her foster home, Applesauce currently lives with a couple of other foster kittens and a medium-sized dog whom she likes to keep in line. She has done well with very young cats and older, shy cats. She would do best in a home with older children and adults. We believe that, with slow introductions, she could adjust to other kitties and dogs in the house. She would also be fine as the only cat in the home.
Applesauce has a skin allergy and is currently on special food and allergy medication to address the itching. She has responded remarkably well to this regimen, and it shows in the glow she exudes- look at the pictures! This charismatic, entertaining cat is waiting for you.
