Meet Tanzia: A Thoughtful Boxer Mix Who Blossoms with Trust
Tanzia is a 3-year-old boxer mix with a gentle soul and a cautious heart. She’s the kind of dog who prefers to take things slow at first, needing a bit of time and patience to feel comfortable with new people. Once she does, her sweet and affectionate personality begins to shine. Food is truly the way to win Tanzia over — she’s highly food motivated, making positive reinforcement and treat-based training the perfect tools for building a strong bond with her.
Tanzia has shown positive interactions with other dogs, though a Meet & Greet onsite is required to ensure a good fit with any resident canine. She has not yet been cat tested, so her future home should be prepared for careful management in that area. Due to her sensitive nature, Tanzia is best suited for an adult-only home where she can settle in at her own pace and feel secure as she adjusts. With patience, consistency, and plenty of tasty rewards, Tanzia will reward her adopter with loyalty, trust, and a truly meaningful connection. If you’re looking for a companion who values calm confidence and gentle guidance, Tanzia may be the perfect match for you.

We require potential adopters to fill out an pre-adoption application. If that application is approved, the dog/cat must be spayed/neutered before it leaves our shelter (if not already done). If it is a puppy under 4 months old, we allow it to go home with the adopters under a foster care agreement until it is old enough to be returned for spay/neuter. Kittens are allowed to leave before spay/neuter is done, but they must be done within a certain time frame.
Fees: Dogs/puppies range from $150-300, depending on if they came in already spayed/neutered or if we paid to have that done.
Cats range from $80 - $140, though we often have deals on older cats or cats that have been there a long time.
Kittens are $60 with $25 refunded once it has been spayed/neutered.
All adoptions include at least the first vaccination, deworming, de-fleaing, microchip ID, and 6 weeks of pet insurance.
