Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bruiser!
Bruiser is a 5-year-old, 34lb French Bulldog with a tender heart and a cautious nature. After years in a puppy mill, everything is new—from household sounds to learning how to be a family dog. He’s quiet, well-mannered, and still figuring out that humans can be trusted.
Bruiser thrives in calm environments and will do best with adopters who understand that confidence takes time. He may not be immediately cuddly, but with patience and reassurance, he blossoms into a loyal, loving companion.
Bruiser is not demanding or high-energy; he’s more of a quiet companion who enjoys soft beds, a steady routine, and kind voices. As he settles in, his affectionate side slowly begins to shine through.
Bruiser is crate trained and working on house training. Bruiser has been around other dogs his size and plays well with them.
Bruiser would do best with adopters who understand puppy mill survivors and are committed to giving him time, structure, and love. Watching him gain confidence is incredibly rewarding.
Bruiser is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $450.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue, Inc., non-profit and no kill, aims to alleviate the suffering of abandoned shelter animals by rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming them within our community.
We are proudly foster-based, meaning our animals live in homes, not shelters. This differentiates us and allows us to more thoroughly get to know our animals, ensuring they are matched with suitable, screened adoptive homes which meet our high standards.
As part of our commitment to the health and well-being of all of our animals and to reduce pet overpopulation in our community, every pet is spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
We are committed to ensuring the safety of our animals for their entire lifetimes so that they will never suffer abuse, neglect or abandonment again.
