Breed-wise, we believe Biscuit is a Terrier mix… possibly with a dash of Shih Tzu or Yorkie, a sprinkle of cuddles, a dash of dragon and a whole lot of charm. Biscuit’s love language is physical touch so the fact that he doesn't really shed is just an extra bonus.
He’s a pretty quiet guy, not bouncing-off-the-walls energy, but he does appreciate his daily walks so he can check his neighborhood p-mail. When he’s not strolling, he prefers sleeping in bed—ideally glued to a human—or perched proudly on a lap. Any lap. Anywhere. Anytime.
Cats have entered Biscuit's personal space and was completely unfazed, proving once again that the feline species are beneath his notice.
Biscuit is the most loving, cuddly, wonderful companion dog—and we agree. HOWEVER… when given a yak chew, Biscuit briefly transforms into a tiny dragon. He growls protectively for a few minutes, then remembers he’s a sweetheart, loses interest, and goes back to being his normal cuddle bug. He is not necessarily food or toy aggressive—yak chews are just very serious business.
Biscuit can also be a little overly protective of his humans. He’s not looking to start drama, but if he thinks someone’s getting too close to his people, he’ll stand his ground like a 15-lb bodyguard. Think “stern security guard,” not “troublemaker.”
In our home, Biscuit lives among at least 12 other dogs (yes, really—we run a home-based dog business). He does great overall, but if another dog gets a little too close to his personal bubble, he’ll issue a polite (or sometimes not so polite) growl that says, “Excuse me, sir, please respect my space.”
Because of this, Biscuit is looking for an owner who can run a loving but firm household—think kindergarten teacher meets football coach energy. Clear boundaries help him feel safe, confident, and free to be his true self: a sweet, goofy cuddle muffin with occasional spicy opinions.
While Biscuit has done well around kids, he’d prefer a home with adults or older kids who can understand that sometimes he briefly believes he is a dragon guarding a sacred treasure. These moments are rare and short-lived, but tiny humans might find them confusing. Grown-ups, however, will simply laugh, set a boundary, and continue the snuggle schedule as planned.
Stats:
• Age: 3 years
• Weight: 15 lbs
• Personality: Professional snuggler with occasional strong opinions
Biscuit is basically a warm, loving loaf of dog who just wants cuddles, companionship, and the occasional walk—preferably followed by a nap in your bed.
