My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We acquired our dog Layla from a breeder in Maryland who bred pointers specifically for hunting. Our family grew quickly and we never trained Layla for hunting. She is a high energy dog that needs exercise regularly. Unfortunately we are unable to keep up with these needs. This is one of the hardest things for us to do but we know it is what is best for Layla. We will not let her go until we know she is with the right family. She is loyal, friendly with animals, people, and children. We have a 2 year old and a baby and have never had any issues with biting or even growling with our children. She needs lots of space to run and loves playing fetch. She does not do well in a crate. She is used to an electric fence and staying in the house when we are away. She is trained to sit, lay, and come. And listens to all of those very well. Other than her high energy and separation anxiety, she is a great dog.
