We are looking to rehome our 8-year-old Goldendoodle due to a change in our family situation. He is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves attention, running, and playtime. He bonds closely with his people and enjoys being part of daily life.
Recently, there was an incident where he snapped when our 2.5-year-old hugged his face. While no serious injury occurred, she did receive two cuts and we no longer feel it’s safe for him to be around very young children. Because of this, we believe he would thrive best in a home without small kids, ideally with adults or older, dog-savvy children who understand boundaries.
He is energetic and can be reactive on leash, mainly from excitement rather than aggression, and would do best with someone who enjoys walks, exercise, and continuing positive reinforcement or training.
This is a very difficult decision, and our priority is finding him a safe, loving home where he can continue to be happy and well cared for.
