Rooney is the total package—handsome, housetrained, and wonderfully friendly with both people and dogs. He absolutely loves attention and is happiest when he’s included in whatever his humans are doing.
He’s currently learning basic commands like sit and already walks well on a leash. True to his Lab nature, Rooney is affectionate, playful, and delightfully goofy.
Because Rooney thrives on companionship, he would do best in a home with another dog or with a family that is home often. A secure 5–6 ft fenced yard is ideal. He has been known to hop shorter fences, but only to join the fun—Rooney simply doesn’t want to miss out on people or canine friends if left alone.
Rooney weighs 68.5 lbs and gets along great with other dogs. He’s a classic, happy-go-lucky Lab who brings joy wherever he goes.

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.
