This little guy will charm you with his permanent wink! Taco is a 2-year-old, 9-pound Min Pin mix who might be a bit shy at first, but it doesn`t take long for his curious, friendly personality to shine. He had his right eye surgically removed due to a past injury, but that’s all behind him now! He’s fully healed and doesn`t let it slow him down one bit! Taco is a gentleman who takes treats gently and has a playful spirit. He loves to fetch a squeaky toy and bring it back to his cozy bed for some quality playtime. Taco is a true catch!
Taco is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. You can visit him at The Babinski Foundation Animal Shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

If you are adopting a dog, we recommend a dog meet and greet with your current dogs.

Cat and Dog survey may be filled out online at babinskifoundation.org, or in person at the facility.

The staff will review your application! Please bring all necessary documents such as pet lease agreements signed by your landlord.

The Babinski Foundation is a private 501c3 animal shelter located in Pequot Lakes, MN. We are a safe place to surrender dogs and cats. We also are a stray drop-off facility for stray cats and dogs.
OUR STORY
The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
