My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bertram is a little hero in his own right. We don't know his whole story - but what we have gathered is that his previous owner passed away- and no one has come to claim him. Bertram's confusion upon intake was heartbreaking-but his fear did not lead him to aggression or growling. He merely submitted to commands- and was anxious to meet everyone with tail wags. He gives all strangers kisses- (we are working on his old man breath) and hopefully with flea treatment- we are hoping for his hair to grow back so he can grow into his most handsome self. :) Bertram eats EVERYTHING. Despite the breath Bertram has impressive chompers- and has a healthy appetite. This little old man has the energy and playfulness of a puppy- but the discipline of a gentleman. He has not torn up his toys nor his blanket. When outside- Bertram walks well with a leash and makes sure to do his business. In his kennel- he makes sure to do his business away from his food and bed. Mr. Bertram is loving , obedient, and wants to make everyone his friend. His greatest joy in life is getting a hug from a stranger. Please come and be the shining light in this pup's life- he may have lost his person, but he himself has so much life to live.
Hello there the adoption fee is $20.00 CASH OR CHECK it is low as we do not spay/neuter our animals or vaccinate as we do not have a vet on site. Upon adoption you would sign a legal contract stating that within sixty days you will get them sterilized and vaccinated per state requirement. Sometimes due to age or complications the 60 day window can be extended however only by a vets discretion.

Your contract is not fulfilled and your adoption of the pet cannot be successfully closed until proof of sterilization and vaccination is provided to us from the adopter.

You may come to the shelter any day of the week between 8 am and 4:30 pm, just please give us a call beforehand to let us know you are coming at 281 291 5644. Thank you!
