My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

7-yr-old Matisse was surrendered back in April, losing the only home and family he’s ever known. Landing in the chaos of a busy shelter completely broke his spirit. With no adopters coming and due to his continued decline, Matisse was placed in a foster home for some rest and recovery, and we’re happy to say he is THRIVING. With the incredible care and attention given by Matisse’s foster mom as well as his trainer John of K9 Solutions Obedience, Matisse’s confidence, health, and spirit have returned and he is ready to continue his journey to a permanent home.

Matisse is such a sensitive boy who has lived his life existing as best he can in the background of a busy home without ever being someone’s main character. He’s an active pup who loves hopping in the car as a ride-along errand boy. Fetch is his love language, so a fenced backyard where he can spend some quality bonding time playing ball would be ideal. He’s a BIG cuddler whose idea of a perfect evening is cozied up under a blanket on the sofa by the side of his favorite person for some tv binge time. And he’s a people-pleaser who shines with positive reinforcement. Because of his insecurities and breed instincts, Matisse needs to be your one and only furry companion. His training has helped his confidence immensely and his trainer is excited to work with his new adopter on his next chapter. If you’d enjoy an adoring pup by your side and want to make a difference in the life of a dog who so badly wants to be loved, reach out to info@pwanimaladvocates.org with questions or to schedule a meeting
