Meet Yara
Yara is a beautiful calico lady, estimated to be around 3 years old, who came into rescue as a stray from the local impound.
Yara enjoys attention in short, gentle bursts—she’ll let you know when she’s ready for pets and when she’s had enough. She is generally a quiet, content cat, happiest when she can observe her surroundings and settle in on her own terms. When first introduced to new spaces, she may be growly or hissy, especially around other cats, so slow, patient introductions are strongly recommended.
Her experience with dogs is unknown.
Yara would do best in a home that understands and appreciates a more independent, low-key cat—one who doesn’t demand constant attention but will reward patience with trust and quiet companionship.
Yara is from a local impound.
To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page.
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
