My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Playful brothers Chess and Checkers are practically inseparable. Chess (grey & white) can be timid, but loves being pet as long as his brother is by his side. Chess also loves climbing, watching birds out the window, and playing with dangle toys. Checkers is curious and full of energy. He loves making biscuits, pouncing on his brother, and chasing the laser pointer.

Chess & Checkers are approx. 3 months old and healthy. They are microchipped, Checkers has a slight fiv+/felv-, but this will likely go away as his immune system continues to mature. Chess is fiv-/felv-. Both are up to date on their vaccines and their neuters are included in our adoption fee as long as you arrange to bring them back to us. They have a clean bill of health and are ready for a loving home!

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.

We hold Saturday adoption events at Unleashed by Petco in Park Slope and Petsmart on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn (check our website and Facebook page for more information) and have cats at Bushy Tails pet store in Bushwick and Petsmart.

We are a Brooklyn-based group of volunteers committed to improving the lives of animals in distress by working with our communities. We are dedicated to Trap-Neuter-Release programs, finding homes for adoptable animals, performing community outreach and education, and engaging in advocacy.
