We took this dog in when his owner died and the young widow wanted nothing to do with him. He is a sweet dog but loves to run the neighborhood. He only goes to the neighbors a few yards away, but if they don't tie their dogs, the 3 of them travel. We live on a farm and dogs that stray onto other farms get shot. He is ok with cats, if they don't run, He is great around my horses and cows and will be right beside you when a colt or a calf needs assistance. He actually lays with them until they are ok. He has been great with the little grandkids as well. I really don't want to get rid of him, but he is not safe here and needs a better home. House trained but doesn't like being in the house very much.
