My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Brushstroke kittens were born outside and rescued by a caring community member. Kittens who are not handled from a very young age they have needed a little extra time to feel safe and comfortable with people. As they have learned to feel secure, they have blossomed into the most affectionate and gentle kittens.

When first touched, Smidgen may pull back slightly or give her signature hiss. It's her way of indicating she needs you to go slow. With a gentle stroke down her back, she softens and begins to purr. Smidgen is a clever girl who loves her churro. She has learned to sit up on her back legs when given the command "up," while she places her front legs on your hand for support.

Smudge has a bravado about him when given the opportunity to demonstrate his physical prowess. However, there is a cautious boy inside who wants to feel confident in new situations. Once he does, his true personality shines. He is playful, active, and extremely affectionate.

If you are searching for loving, gentle kittens that will thrive with a bit of reassurance, Smidgen and Smudge will be the perfect companions.
These kittens would thrive in a home with another young, confident cat. Even better, they would love to be adopted together, as a matched set of adorable little souls. They have not been exposed to dogs or children and might find that energy a bit overwhelming.

These kittens are currently in a great foster home. If you are interested in meeting them, please fill out our online pre-adoption questionnaire at https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/. We will reach out to anyone who could be a possible match and discuss the next steps.
