Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gordo is a distinguished senior tuxedo gentleman with a lot to say and even more love to give. This sweet boy may be diabetic, but don’t let that fool you— his personality is huge, and his voice is even bigger! Gordo loves greeting new people with a cheerful meow as if to say, “Hi! Took you long enough! Treat time!” When he’s not chatting, Gordo is a professional nap enthusiast. Give him a cozy bed, a quiet home, and a predictable routine, and he’ll be in his element. He’s looking for a calm, patient family who understands that older cats are pure gold and that snack time (and Bexacat time, his diabetes medication, which he takes with ease!) is a very serious event. If you’re searching for a laid-back companion who will keep you company, warm your couch, and talk your ear off at just the right moments, Gordo might be your perfect match.

More about this shelter
Northeast Animal Shelter, established in 1976, is now part of the MSPCA-Angell, giving us a better opportunity to serve our community, provide additional life-saving programs and services, and protect more animals from cruelty and neglect.
Our adoption program is designed to be welcoming, nonjudgmental, and free of lengthy applications. We strive to engage all prospective adopters in a conversation aimed at matching an adopter’s lifestyle, interests and home environment with an animal’s personality, medical and behavioral needs. Adopting an animal is an extraordinary opportunity to choose your newest family member. At the MSPCA it is a great privilege for our staff and volunteers to guide that journey for adopters and animals.
